St. Louis, MO – St. Louis just keeps getting fatter.
"Men's Fitness" magazine has ranked the Gateway City the fifth-fattest city in the country (last year's ranking was ninth).
The reasons include extreme weather in both the winter and summer that makes exercise harder. St. Louis is in a tie with Miami and Minneapolis for the most fast food restaurants per capita in the nation; and also ranks first with its one bar for every 1,400 residents.
But the survey also notes St. Louis is in the top three for most health clubs per capita.
