St. Louis – A suspect is dead after a police chase in St. Louis County.
The chase began late Monday in St. Ann. It ended in University City when the car being chased struck a parked tractor-trailer.
Two suspects were in the car being chased. One died and one was injured.
St. Ann police say the incident began when an officer tried to stop the car for a traffic violation. The driver refused to stop, and a chase began. Police say a records check indicated the car had been stolen.
The St. Ann officer involved in the chase is on administrative leave while an investigation continues.
