Thieves stole cash and ruined a 130-year-old door when they broke into the Campbell House museum in downtown St. Louis.

Shelley Niemeier, assistant director of the museum, says thieves picked the lock of the museum Monday night and threw a concrete block through the glass pane door, which was installed in the 1880s.

The Campbell House holds one of the nation's best collections of Victorian decorative arts and 300,000 pages of documents about the economy of the West.
