Former SLU volleyball player shot to death

St. Louis police have been investigating the death of a former St. Louis University volleyball player who was shot to death in her car.
Police Sgt. Roger Engelhardt told The St. Louis Post-Dispatch that 23-year-old Megan Boken, a 2011 SLU graduate, was found with gunshot wounds to her neck and chest on Saturday afternoon in the city's Central West End.
Boken played on the Billikens volleyball team from 2007 to 2010. She lived most recently in the Chicago area, and had returned for SLU's annual alumni volleyball game on Saturday.
Police said witnesses reported seeing a man who fired two shots into the vehicle before fleeing. Police said Sunday they hope to review surveillance video from near the intersection that may have shown the killing.
