Welcome the newest members of the Gen Listen Leadership Council

St. Louis Public Radio is proud to welcome 13 new members to the Leadership Council of Generation Listen STL.

The Leadership Council is comprised of 24 volunteers who work to connect members who opt to be part of the Generation Listen STL group with the important work of STLPR and NPR. You can connect with them on Facebook or Instagram, or at one of the many events they host throughout the year.

Victoria is from a small town in Argentina and has been in St. Louis since 2014. She's proudly adopted the city as her home since. She's a bilingual teacher-writer, UMSL alumni, who has spent most of her professional career working in different educational environments. In St. Louis, she has worked as a Spanish teacher in a language immersion school, as the social media director of the UMSL student newspaper, as well as a research assistant in the UMSL English department. Currently, she's working at a St. Louis tech start-up. Victoria is passionate about writing (and reading), languages, women's rights, intersectionality and diversity, and of course, St. Louis Public Radio. In her free time, she likes spending time with her husband and pets, cooking, golfing, and having endless conversations with her friends about all things.

Bryan Brake

Bryan is a lifelong St. Louisian who has found himself living in Collinsville for the last five years. He is new to the Generation Listen Leadership Council, but has been a St. Louis Public Radio volunteer for more than five years. When not listening to Science Friday or This American Life, Bryan works as an account manager at Goedecke, and spends time raising two precocious daughters, who also volunteer their time with STLPR.

Dan Coffman

Dan is new to St. Louis, but not public radio. Originally from Kansas City, he received his B.A. from William Jewell College, where he also played baseball, before attending law school at Mizzou. Dan now practices at SmithAmundsen in the firm's litigation practice group. When not practicing law or listening to KWMU, Dan volunteers as an assistant softball coach at Washington University.

She'Rohn Draper

She'Rohn moved to St. Louis from Kansas City  in 2016, but he's a Buckeye born and bred.  Originally from Toledo, Ohio, he studied political science and philosophy at The Ohio State University. After a few years of bouncing between the nonprofit and private sectors, he attended Western Kentucky University where he earned his Master of Public Policy Administration. He currently works for a federal agency and enjoys movies, comic books, public radio podcasts, and video games with his wife. He also insists that he's the father of "the cutest baby ever."

Tricia Hendricks

For the past several years Tricia has volunteered at St. Louis Public Radio, in part to meet the NPR celebrity guest at Talk Toast Taste and mostly to support the station beyond her monthly membership donation. A nonprofit fundraiser, she serves as Development Director for Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis, which provides support programs to help individuals and families facing cancer cope with the stress of a diagnosis. Tricia’s efforts to build a new generation of STLPR listeners started with her two children, ages 4 and 7. She is excited to expand those efforts as a member of the Gen Listen Leadership Council.

Emily Koehler

Emily is a St. Louis native and a recent graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. She studied marketing and fashion while at school, and spent a semester studying French in Paris. She currently works in marketing for a local training technology company. Emily loves St. Louis and supporting its local business, trying new restaurants, and spending time enjoying the diverse cultural offerings of the city. In her free time, she loves to bake, travel, spend time with her friends, and quote Gilmore Girls.

Mike LaBozzetta

Mike is an attorney in St. Louis working in his own practice  with entrepreneurs, startups, business-owners, and nonprofits. His practice focuses on the corporate side of owning and operating a business; helping clients align their legal strategies with their business strategies. Mike grew up in the St. Louis area, making his daily experiences with the region’s growing startup culture even more rewarding. When he’s not interacting with clients, Mike is usually travelling with his wife, Jessica, cheering on the Cardinals and Blues, or wandering St. Louis taking pictures.

Henry Moyerman

Henry works for Boeing as an avionics integration engineer supporting the EA-18G Growler. Previously, he worked as a sound designer, sound effects editor, and dialogue editor on over 500 episodes of television and many independent films. In his free time, Henry enjoys playing drums, rock climbing, running, and biking.

Linde Parcels

Linde is a graduate student nearing the completion of her Master in Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis. In addition to her studies she works at a public relations firm in Clayton and the Clark-Fox Policy Institute at the Brown School. Also at Washington University, Linde is on the executive board of a graduate student organization called ProSPER (Students Promoting Science Policy, Education, and Research). Linde also enjoys volunteering on political campaigns and keeping up with the Missouri Legislature where she was a legislative aide for the 2017 session. In what limited free time she has, she enjoys stress cleaning, amateur acrylic painting, being outdoors, a *somewhat concerning* obsession with chewing ice, and traveling!

Leslie Quarles

Originally from Kennett, MO in the "bootheel" region-- Yes, she’s met Sheryl Crow!, Leslie has lived in STL since 2006. So no, she did not attend high school here. She has worked in the social services field for 15+ years, focusing on career services for people with disabilities or other barriers to employment. Her passions include St. Louis Public Radio, politics, history (especially St. Louis and British monarchy), Asian literature, documentaries, adoption, and social justice.

Emma Ricahrdson

Restless in rest, Emma escaped the vortex of St. Louis to work and volunteer in 5 countries before returning home. She now travels vicariously through her refugee and immigrant clients at the International Institute, where she works as a Job Developer. Emma enjoys reading, socializing, and causing mischief with her niece.

Peyton Rosencrants

Peyton is a recent graduate of the University of Missouri, where she studied journalism, constitutional democracy and how to sound natural saying the word “y’all.” Having lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, until college, she is eager to explore all that St. Louis has to offer. Peyton works for Washington University School of Law, which confuses nearly everyone, as she plans to eventually attend law school herself. Her free time is devoted to consuming media and still trying to earn the affection of her very old dog.

Rob Sonnenfelt

Originally from nearby Valmeyer, Illinois, Robert is no stranger to the St. Louis area, where he has studied, lived, and worked for almost ten years. Robert received his BA in Political Science from Saint Louis University, where he served as Chair of the University’s judicial branch of student government, before attending Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where he earned his JD. Licensed in both Missouri and Illinois, Robert worked as an associate attorney at a law firm in downtown St. Louis and now serves as a judicial law clerk for a judge on the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District. Beyond volunteering at St. Louis Public Radio and serving as a pianist for a local church, Robert spends his free time playing with his dog, Freyja, searching for and listening to new music, and reading through his ever-increasing backlog of books.
