St. Louis, MO – Firefighters in west St. Louis County battled a fire this morning at a well-known restaurant. The Seventh Inn is a five-star restaurant just off of Manchester, in Ballwin.
Fire officials say the building is a total loss, despite the efforts of up to 90 firefighters.
"That's the place to eat in Ballwin," noted the city's mayor, Walter Young, in an interview this morning. "A lot of business people come there to take their clients. Sometimes people get engaged there; we've had a lot of functions ourselves as a city there because it's a fine restaurant."
So far, there are no reports of injuries and there's no word yet on what started the fire, which started just before 6:00 a.m.
